Welcome to the Steel Pan Academy

The Steel Pan Academy is committed to increasing access and opportunity to quality steel pan playing, teaching and learning.

The Steel Pan Academy provides regular peripatetic steel pan teaching on a weekly basis as well as one day and half day workshops in schools in Coventry and Warwickshire. (see teaching) We have many after school groups giving opportunity to pan playing and learning for young, youth and adult and are proud also to support University of the Third Age. (see groups)

All of our tutors are experienced steel pan teachers, and players, and have been working in Coventry and Warwickshire Schools for many years. We have worked together as a team for some years and in Partnership with Phase One Steel Orchestra from Coventry and are great believers in working as a team in partnership with our schools, parents and young players. As well as providing teaching, workshops, training, after school and evening groups, and corporate team building workshops, we also hire out our youth groups for performances and have been booked every weekend, often for both days, between April 2007 and the end of July 2007. (see performances)
